| For the week of November 30th through December 6th, the all-volunteer Yardley Makefield Fire Company responded to 14 calls.
November 30 --- Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient on South Bell Avenue, near Letchworth Avenue. The second call was for natural gas fumes in the area of Brookhaven Drive and Covington Road, in the Makefield Glen development. The third call was dispatched for an activated fire alarm at a home on Harper Avenue, near Reading Avenue.
December 2 --- Dispatched for two calls. The first call was for a mutual aid assist to Newtown (Station 45), for Tower 80 to respond for a fire at the Brick Hotel, on Washington Avenue. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a business in the Floral Vale Professional Park, off Yardley Langhorne Road.
December 3 --- Dispatched on a mutual aid assignment to Mercer County Station 53 (Titusville), for Rescue 0 to respond and cover their district while all their units were tied up at a house fire.
December 4 --- Dispatched for three calls. The first call, in the early morning hours, was for an activated carbon monoxide alarm at a home on Fairway Drive, off College Avenue. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at Arden Court Nursing Home on Stony Hill Road, near Oxford Valley Road. The third call was for a mutual aid assist to Upper Makefield (Station 71), for Rescue 0 to respond for a working fire at a home on Timber Ridge Road.
December 5 --- Dispatched for two calls. The first call, in the early morning hours, was dispatched for a mutual aid assist to Upper Makefield (Station 71), for Ladder 0 and Rescue 0 to respond for a building fire at the intersection of General Washington Memorial Boulevard and River Road. The second call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on North Crescent Boulevard, near Edgewood Road.
December 6 --- Dispatched for three calls. The first call was for an activated fire alarm at a home on Jacob Drive, in the Makefield Brook development. The second call was for a rubbish fire at the intersection of Mt. Eyre Road and Thistlewood Drive. The third call was for a special assignment to assist the squad with a patient on Springtree Lane, off Black Rock Road.
